Announcement: JOTA Appoints a New Managing Editor

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Matthew Rablen has been appointed Managing Editor of the Journal of Tax Administration.

Originally a government economist, Dr. Rablen has held lecturing positions at the University of Westminster, and Brunel University London. He is currently a Reader in Economics at the University of Sheffield, where he has worked since 2016.

He is also an affiliate of the CESifo Research Network and IZA, an Associate Editor of Public Finance Review, and a member of the Tax Administration Research Centre (TARC).

He has a first-class BSc degree in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, and a MSc and a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick. His research interests lie in the areas of public economics and behavioural economics, and he has published extensively.

Dr. Rablen replaces Professor Nigar Hashimzade, who took over as Managing Editor in December 2020. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor Hashimzade for all of her hard work. We are pleased that she will continue to contribute to the journal as a member of the Editorial Advisory Panel.
